Thank you for taking the time to read about our mission and the inspiration behind this project, my sister: Elizabeth.
In 1990, Elizabeth was born as a victim of prenatal drug abuse from my Aunt, who would later die at the age of 35. Elizabeth was born with a host of disabilities from drug abuse, or what society commonly mislabels "a drug baby," but to me and those who know her, she is so much more than that. She is blind with several conditions, including epilepsy, autism, demoiser syndrome, explosive behavior disorder, and others to name a few. She is inaudible, and due to her pituitary gland is the size of a six-year-old with the cognitive abilities of a two-year-old.
Throughout her life, Elizabeth has faced judgment, from physicians who didn't know how to help her to strangers that misunderstood her. Though anyone who knows Elizabeth, can attest she brings more joy into the lives of those around her than one could possibly imagine.
This non-profit organization is dedicated to my sister, and paying it forward to all children with special needs. The Elizabeth Kochheim Project is a testament to the joy a person can bring in life, no matter who they are, and a challenge to do the same through our mission and values.
The Elizabeth Kochheim Project is dedicated to enriching the lives of children with special needs through supportive relationships, innovative efforts, promoting compassion, inclusivity, and fun.
Again, we thank you for taking the time to read about our mission and learn about Elizabeth. We hope you join us on our mission to help those similar in need.
Very Sincerely,
Christopher Seward
